Timothy Peters-Strickland, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, enjoys managing his career in biopharmaceutical/biotech industry as well as continued clinical practice. He is passionate about helping patients and supporting approval/implementation of new therapies to patients who desperately need them.With his optimistic perspective, Dr Peters-Strickland is solution-focused and able to move programs forward positive-collaborative manner. Dr Peters-Strickland joined PPD Biotech Solutions, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as VP, Regional Medical Officer in January 2021 after “early retirement” from his previous company. In October 2022, he was promoted to VP, Global Medical Officer with expanded global responsibilities and leading a team of Regional Medical Officers. Prior to PPD Biotech Solutions, he was VP, Global Clinical Development, CNS, and Digital Medicine at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals where he led a team of 12 clinical development physicians/scientists and managed CNS, nephrology, and tuberculosis assets. He led the clinical development programs for multiple global filings and approvals including Abilify Maintena and Abilify MyCite, the world’s first digital medicine.In addition to his drug development experience, Dr Peters-Strickland was in private clinical practice in Palm Springs, California for approximately 10 years and was volunteer faculty at University of Southern California (USC). He completed his Psychiatry Residency at USC, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr Peters-Strickland earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Florida State University.
