Interacting with Different Types of Investors as a CMO

Timothy Peters-Strickland, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, enjoys managing his career in biopharmaceutical/biotech industry as well as continued clinical practice. He is passionate about helping patients and supporting approval/implementation of new therapies to patients who desperately need them.With his optimistic perspective, Dr Peters-Strickland is solution-focused and able to move programs forward positive-collaborative manner. Dr Peters-Strickland joined PPD Biotech Solutions, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as VP, Regional Medical Officer in January 2021 after “early retirement” from his previous company. In October 2022, he was promoted to VP, Global Medical Officer with expanded global responsibilities and leading a team of Regional Medical Officers. Prior to PPD Biotech Solutions, he was VP, Global Clinical Development, CNS, and Digital Medicine at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals where he led a team of 12 clinical development physicians/scientists and managed CNS, nephrology, and tuberculosis assets. He led the clinical development programs for multiple global filings and approvals including Abilify Maintena and Abilify MyCite, the world’s first digital medicine.In addition to his drug development experience, Dr Peters-Strickland was in private clinical practice in Palm Springs, California for approximately 10 years and was volunteer faculty at University of Southern California (USC). He completed his Psychiatry Residency at USC, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr Peters-Strickland earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Florida State University.

Mr Randall Stanicky currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Click Therapeutics, a company focused on bringing digital therapeutics to the market targeting traditional drug endpoints. Prior to joining Click Therapeutics he spent more than 20-years on Wall Street as a top ranked equity analyst where he was a regular speaker at conferences and events both domestically and internationally. Most recently he served as Managing Director, Global Equity Research at RBC Capital Markets where he was ranked number 2 by Institutional Investor within the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector. His coverage also included the large cap pharmaceutical sector and he led the cross-sector build-out of the firm's research efforts in Digital Health and regularly authored reports on the leading themes and debates within healthcare. Mr Stanicky spent the majority of his Wall Street career at Goldman Sachs in a similar capacity covering several sectors across the healthcare space. He is also a Board member and Head of the Audit Committee for the Children's Tumor Foundation and previously sat on the Board of Directors of TherapeuticsMD (NASDAQ: TXMD), a women’s health focused pharmaceutical company.  

Stefan Vitorovic is Co-Founder and Managing Director at Vida Ventures, a life sciences company formation and investing firm.Prior to co-founding Vida Ventures, Mr Vitorovic was an investment professional at Third Rock Ventures, an early-stage life sciences venture capital firm. At Third Rock, he was responsible for new company formation and strategic finance. There he was part of the founding team of Decibel Therapeutics.Before Third Rock, Mr Vitorovic was an investor at TPG Capital, where he focused on majority, control stakes in scale healthcare companies. At TPG, Mr Vitorovic worked on a variety of equity and debt financings. Prior to TPG, he was an investment banker at Credit Suisse’s healthcare investment banking group.Mr Vitorovic received his BS with Honors in Biological Sciences at Stanford University. He completed his MS in Biology at Stanford, where he conducted biomedical research at Stanford Medical School. Mr Vitorovic later received his MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr Vitorovic currently serves on the Board of Directors for Tectonic Therapeutic, Vigil Neuroscience (“VIGL”), Volastra Therapeutics and Souffle Therapeutics. He was previously a Board Director or Observer at Praxis Precision Medicines (“PRAX”), Kyverna Therapeutics, Oyster Point Therapeutics (“OYST”), Dyne Therapeutics (“DYN”), Sutro Biopharma (“STRO”), Aptalis Pharma and Biomet.

Alex Snyder, MD, is the Head of Research and Development at Generate Biomedicines, a therapeutics company that exists at the intersection of machine learning, biological engineering and medicine to create breakthrough medicines across a wide range of biologic modalities. Prior to joining Generate in 2022, Dr Snyder was a Principal at the biotech incubator Two River, following her role as Associate Vice President and Head of Translational Oncology at Merck. She previously was Translational Medicine Lead at Adaptive Biotechnologies, and started her career as faculty and federally-funded Principal Investigator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU and Bellevue Hospitals, Section Editor for the Journal for the Immunotherapy of Cancer and a member of the board of Navigating Cancer. Dr Snyder received her medical degree and internal medicine training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a medical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).
