Engaging Internal Stakeholders to Embed Patient Engagement in a Meaningful Way that Drives Value for All

Angela Bilkhu joined Roche Canada in 2018 where she was a Senior Manager with the Federal Government Relations and Policy Team. She focused on delivering innovative strategies and plans that established a favorable policy environment for Roche’s pipeline specialty molecules. In this role, Ms Bilkhu worked to support policy and access priorities in rare diseases, oncology and neurosciences, building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, caregivers and patient organizations to embed their voice into Roche Canada’s policy strategies and tools. In 2020, Ms Bilkhu joined the Global Patient Partnership Team to assume a newly created role focussed on patient-centric research and development activities in the solid tumor space. Ms Bilkhu worked closely with Roche-Genentech’s Product Development teams and the patient community to ensure Roche’s research and development activities are patient inclusive. Ms Bilkhu is looking forward to continuing these efforts in the hematology space and as the Global Patient Networks R&D Community of Practice Lead.

Ebony Dashiell-Aje, PhD, is a leading expert in clinical outcome assessment (COA) design and implementation, advising on COAs, study endpoint issues and regulatory science. As a health outcomes researcher and methodologist, Dr Dashiell-Aje is driven by her passion for public health and promoting patient-focused medical product development. Dr Dashiell-Aje has notably contributed her research expertise in academic, consulting and regulatory environments to arrive at evidence-based solutions, and to shape health policy.

As President, Angie Wheeler leads the US marketing research business within Lumanity. Her role includes partnering with the Life Sciences Industry to provide deep understanding, leverage insights, and identify opportunities to drive product commercialization and optimization. She is privileged to lead the Patient Center of Excellence at Lumanity, which is committed to improving patients’ health by accelerating and optimizing access to medical advances. Her passion is elevating the voice of patients within Life Sciences and working to implement patient engagement best practice throughout the drug development lifecycle.
