Ellie Stukalin, PhD is an Associate Director of Biostatistics at Takeda, where she serves as the statistical lead for clinical trials across multiple phases. She has previously worked at CRISPR Therapeutics and Merck, specializing in oncology at both companies. With hands-on experience ensuring data integrity, Dr Stukalin takes an active role in maintaining the reliability and accuracy of trial data throughout the development process.

Jie spent twenty plus years as a statistician with increasing responsibilities in the pharmaceutical industry. His experience span across the entire new medicine development spectrum from preclinical discovery research to late phase clinical development with multiple successful global NDA and sNDA registrations mainly in the oncology field. His work has directly led to the FDA approval of Pazopanib(Votrient) in RCC (2009) and the FDA accelerated approval of Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) in the MSI-High cancers (2017), the first Pan-tumor agnostic indication. He is currently at a clinical stage small oncology startup and continue to improve the cancer care for the patients.

With two decades of experience building and leading large cross-functional teams in scientific and business domains, across enterprise BioPharma, start-up and scale-up environments, Shelby brings passion and proficiency in integrating advanced imaging technologies to accelerate drug development and improve patient care.

At Flywheel, Shelby is focused on leading the product function to maximize the medium- to long-term impact and value of our product initiatives and strategic partnerships. She is also responsible for driving and enhancing the Field Application Science team’s impact across life sciences companies, academic medical centers and healthcare providers.

Prior to joining Flywheel, Shelby served various technical, strategic and operational roles during her 13-year tenure at Genentech/Roche across the entire drug development pipeline and patient access — most recently playing a pivotal role in building and scaling Roche’s Global Imaging Platform and Annotation Solution, both powered by Flywheel.

Réne Stephens is a strategic clinical outsourcing expert with nearly 30 years of experience leading procurement strategies and practices, contract negotiations, vendor relationship management, oversight and governance. He previously led global clinical outsourcing programs for Astellas, Pfizer and TransCelerate Biopharma, and served in a business development capacity for M2S, Neeman Medical International and Harvard Clinical Research Institute. Réne holds an MS in Health Sciences, Clinical Research Administration, from George Washington University.

Sarah Holiday has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 27 years in a variety of roles that have included sales, training, health and value, marketing (customer, brand and digital) and social media comms. In 2021, Sarah founded and developed Pfizer's behavioral science capability within the Customer Experience & Engagement team, providing Pfizer with a consistent and validated way of integrating behavioral science into problem solving to improve health outcomes. In this role Sarah has supported numerous teams in Pfizer to design, test and implement solutions to colleague, patient and HCP behavioral challenges.

Sue Farrington is Chief Executive of Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) and President of the Federation of European Scleroderma Associations (FESCA). Sue is Co-Chair of the Rare Auto-Immune Rheumatic Disease Alliance (RAIRDA), a partnership established in 2016 to improve the quality of life of people living with rare autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Since 2013, Sue has been Chair of the Patient Information Forum, an organisation for people working in consumer health information – championing the role that quality information plays in the delivery of positive health outcomes. She is a member of the Rare Disease Forum and chair of an Independent Advisory Group reporting into the DHSC on the development of Quality Standard for rare diseases.

Dr. Sarah Cross is the Vice President and Global Head of Medical Affairs at Premier Research. Dr. Cross received her PhD from UCLA and has previously served in leadership roles in medical affairs and clinical development at CRO, biotech/medtech, and pharmaceutical organizations.

She is responsible for oversight of medical strategy and execution for all phase of clinical trials, and is the external engagement lead responsible for partnerships with patient advocacy groups and professional societies implementing initiatives designed to remove patient barriers, improve diversity and inclusion in medical research, and elevate awareness of clinical trials.
