Lindsay Mateo joined Weave in April 2024 as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing a rich background in life sciences and healthtech. Prior to Weave, she served as CCO at Velsera (formerly Pierian/UgenTec/SevenBridges), where she led commercial strategy during the company’s launch at JPM 2023. Earlier, she held leadership roles at Tempus Labs as Head of Life Sciences, and served as SVP of Commercial Operations at Navican. Lindsay’s career also includes significant sales and operations leadership at Genoptix.

She holds an MBA in International Business from Florida Atlantic University and a BA in Communications from the College of Charleston.

At Weave, Lindsay is responsible for driving go-to-market strategy and adoption of the AI-native Weave Platform—ushering in a new era of regulatory automation that accelerates regulatory drafting and submission readiness.

Dr. Abbasi recently served as Senior Policy Advisor to Commissioner Robert Califf MD of the US Food and Drug Administration. In this role, he led efforts to streamline evidence generation across the healthcare system and improve our ability to learn from routinely generated health data. He previously served as data science advisor to the directors of the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Maine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Currently, Dr. Abbasi is finishing his surgical training at the University of California, San Francisco.

Jenn is a leader in Clinical Operations and SaaS strategy with over 25 years of experience bringing a unique understanding of complex trial design (e.g. master protocols) and DCT modalities from Sponsor, Site and SaaS data model perspectives.

Jenn has championed large-scale change initiatives that successfully aligned operational goals with new technology (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Florence, etc.). These initiatives streamlined processes, increased cross-functional collaboration and enabled data-driven decision-making leveraging reports and dashboards.

Jenn led Clinical Customer Success at Veeva Systems, providing strategic advice and support to customers on product adoption, change management (OCM) strategies, and validation best practices. Her expertise spans global clinical operations, digital transformation, and change management, making her a trusted advisor in modernizing clinical research.

Mark Wagner holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Bowling Green State University, where he cultivated a strong foundation in molecular sciences and analytical techniques. Following a brief tenure at Case Western Reserve University, he launched his professional journey at MilliporeSigma, spending 27 years in a spectrum of pivotal roles—including Chromatography Specialist, R&D Liaison, and Sales. This rich and varied experience allowed him to develop expertise in biopharmaceutical processes, product development, customer engagement, and scientific strategy.

Throughout his career, Mark worked closely with research and manufacturing teams, applying technical solutions to real-world challenges across the biologic pipeline. His problem-solving acumen and scientific insight have contributed to the advancement of purification and formulation approaches for biologics.

Today, at DFE Pharma, Mark is focused on accelerating innovation in excipient development. Our goal is to leverage industry knowledge to create high-performance excipient technologies tailored to the complexities of biologic drug formulations. We are eager to support the evolving needs of therapeutic platforms—from monoclonal antibodies to cell and gene therapies—enhancing stability, delivery, and clinical performance. We hope to see DFE Pharma’s collaborative spirit and technical leadership continue to shape impactful solutions at the frontier of pharmaceutical science.

Dr Quincy J. Byrdsong is the Vice President for Research Operations at Ballad Health in Johnson City, Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), a Master of Arts in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University. and his Doctor of Education degree from Tennessee State University (TSU). In his current role, Dr Byrdsong is charged with the development and implementation of Ballad’s strategic research plan, Vision for Superior Discovery, oversees research directors, partners with regional academic institutions, leads all research administration and compliance functions of Ballad Health including the Institutional Review Board and Human Research Protection Program, Research Informatics, Medical Library, and collaborates regularly with Ballad Health executive leadership, Corporate Compliance, Legal, and Medical Affairs. Dr Byrdsong has served in several capacities in both the academic and healthcare system sectors with over twenty-three years of direct clinical research executive management experience at Meharry Medical College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and Wellstar Health System. Dr Byrdsong is an avid public speaker and frequently speaks to audiences around the world on the topics of clinical trial administration, research ethics, and human research protections including the history of human experimentation in the U.S.

Dr Byrdsong is a Certified Institutional Review Board (IRB) Professional (CIP) and a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) as well as past President of the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) and past Board Member of the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP).
