Keri McDonough, MA, principal of KMCD Consulting, has spent her career weaving patient perspectives into the fabric of biopharmaceutical innovation. A patient and caregiver herself, she’s worked with hundreds of patients and caregivers and dozens of patient advocacy organizations.

At Syneos Health, she served as Global Head of Patient-Powered Medicine and Vice President of Medical and Scientific Strategy, and created the Patient Voice Consortium, a hub for sourcing and embedding patient perspectives across customer R&D and commercialization efforts. She’s held senior roles within the WPP communications network where she created and led global communications and advocacy efforts across therapeutic areas, sub-populations, and geographies. She holds a BA in Sociology from Tulane University and an MA in journalism from the University of Oregon.

Keri’s approach is simple: to make healthcare more inclusive, equitable and patient-centered, insights from lived experience must be integrated into all aspects of healthcare.  Keri volunteers as a Clinical Research Glossary Workgroup Member with the MRCT Center, serves on the board of the Emotional PPE Project—a nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers to mental health for healthcare professionals—and is on the Steering Committee for Lungevity’s Equitable Access to Clinical Trials initiative.

Tommaso is a Director of Product Development of Drug Delivery Systems at Stevanato group. In his 15+ years long career he matured a comprehensive experience in the medical device and pharma industry, specializing in the development of in vitro diagnostic and drug delivery products with proven track record of creating and leading teams through the full product lifecycle from concept generation to commercialization.

He created partnerships with Italian universities and led programs with European research centers to bring cutting edge technologies into the market. He holds several patents and published research papers on international peer-reviewed journals.

Tommaso holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Clayton T. Larsen is President and CEO of Vesselon and leads the development and translation of novel co-formulations of lipid microspheres and various drugs to dramatically increase biodistribution and viral transduction in target tissues. Prior to his pharma experience, Clay worked for 20 years as a Senior Executive in ultrasound for Acuson (acquired by Siemens), and Fujifilm Medical, currently the world leader in point-of-care ultrasound. Clay led the development and commercialization of Fujifilm’s SYNAPSE, the industry’s leading image-enablement solution, now managing 80 billion objects for 1,800 facilities across six continents. His degree in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry from Yale has given him the motivation and insight to synthesize these fundamental areas of science into a revolutionary therapeutic opportunity.

Greg Panebianco is the Senior Director of Engineering and Customer Success at Flex, a $26 billion design and manufacturing company dedicated to helping a diverse range of customers create products that enhance the world. With more than 15 years of experience in medical device product development, Mr. Panebianco has a deep expertise in R&D, strategy, and manufacturing, particularly in the medical device, medical equipment, and pharmaceutical sectors.

He has successfully consulted with clients to navigate complex challenges, including incompatible designs, supply chain disruptions, quality variations, and other scientific hurdles. Renowned for his results-oriented leadership, Mr. Panebianco is committed to improving operational efficiency and fostering predictability within organizations.

Prior to joining Flex, he spent 14 years at Siemens Healthineers, where he held progressively responsible positions, ultimately serving as the Global R&D Head for Point of Care Critical Care Systems.

With a career spanning ~18 years in the drug delivery space, Gautam is passionate about advancing device technologies to address unmet and hard-to-solve problems in injectable drug delivery. He has authored numerous patents in the injectable drug delivery device space covering ocular drug delivery systems, pen injectors, wearable injectors, autoinjectors and other custom novel delivery systems. Gautam Shetty is the founder and CEO of Congruence Medical Solutions, LLC. Previously, Gautam held leadership and management positions at Unilife Corporation and with Becton Dickinson & Co. (BD). Gautam holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.

For over 25 years, Brent has been widely acknowledged as a micro molding and materials industry expert, particularly in precision medical device and drug delivery platforms.

Throughout Brent’s career, he has led miniaturization strategies for groundbreaking micro advancements. His industry achievements include developing solutions for the thinnest micro catheter, leadless pacing, minimally invasive eye surgery, and micro drug eluting devices.

Brent is a degreed Plastics Engineer with an MBA from Pittsburg State University and President of his university’s SPE chapter. Throughout his career, he has held engineering, business development and marketing leadership positions in the resin, life science, and plastics micro molding industries.

Adam Edelhauser is the Director of Research & Development at KORU Medical, a role he has held since September 2023. With a career in the medical device industry that began in 2008, Adam has developed a reputation as a leader in medical device design and innovation. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, Adam’s expertise lies in both single and multi-use medical devices, as well as in strategic portfolio development, and intellectual property generation. Throughout his career, Adam has been instrumental in the development of award-winning medical devices, accumulating over 30 patents that span both software and hardware innovations. His extensive experience includes work in orthopedic trauma, deformity correction, specimen collection & diagnostics, and medication delivery systems. Now, as the head of R&D for KORU Medical, Adam continues to drive innovation in the medical field, contributing to the advancement of patient care through cutting-edge technology.

Bruce McCormick is a visionary problem solver and inventor dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in biotechnology. With a passion for identifying and addressing unmet needs, McCormick has developed novel solutions and holds dozens of U.S. and foreign patents. His inventions have ranged from medical devices with FDA clearance to real-time motion analysis equipment, garment-measuring equipment, insulated insoles, a solar ice-making system, cryogenic phase change material, a range of cutting-edge equipment and software used for vaccine delivery in cell and gene therapy sciences. Some of his products have been featured in Popular Science Magazine, exhibited at the U.S. Patent Museum, and written about in publications like The New York Times.

McCormick is now the CEO of Mercury Bio, where he and his team are working on an advanced drug delivery system utilizing extracellular vesicles from yeast (yEVs). Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Cold Chain Technologies at BioLife Solutions and President and Chief Technology Officer at SAVSU Technologies.
