Dr Lipa Shah is Director Science and Technology, leading Novel Delivery Technologies (NDT) at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. In her matrix leader role, Dr Shah engages with Novartis teams to implement novel drug technologies to bring value to the drug products. She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University, Boston USA. In 17+ years with Technical Research and Development at Novartis in USA and Switzerland, Dr Shah achieved deep understanding of drug product development, made significant contributions as Team Lead and Project Lead, role modeling inclusive and collaborative culture in the teams.

Nichole Gallatti is an Associate Director in the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. With nearly 20 years of experience as a certified research professional, she has made significant contributions to both pediatric and adult clinical research across various disease areas. For the past decade, Nichole has managed a federally funded regional coordinating center at Penn, overseeing 12 sites in the Philadelphia region. Since 2019, she has also served as an instructor for Clinical Research Fastrack, where she teaches foundational principles of clinical research to aspiring clinical research professionals.

Tran Le is the CEO and co-founder of Grove, enabling clinical research organizations to recruit and engage participants at scale using data and AI. Diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions, Tran experienced firsthand the frustrations of enrolling in clinical trials. At Grove, she leverages her expertise and collaborates with a top-tier team of clinical research leaders and AI engineers to deliver personalized experiences to patients seeking clinical trial treatments.

Previously, Tran was an AI researcher at Stanford Medicine, developing machine learning models to enhance patient engagement and emergency department efficiency. She also built security products at Salesforce and co-founded Develop for Good, a nonprofit backed by Google and leading tech figures that connects tech talent with nonprofits globally.

Raised between rural Vietnam and Silicon Valley, Tran champions purposeful, people-centric entrepreneurship in the AI era. Her TEDx Talk at Stanford University, “Building With People and Purpose in the Age of AI,” sparked conversations among thousands of entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and beyond. Tran holds a BS in Computer Science (AI) and an MS in Management from Stanford University.

Dr Erica Lively is the practice director for Exponent's Data Sciences practice, where she assists clients with the design and execution of data acquisition programs using advanced sensors and oversees our capabilities in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data wrangling, data analysis, and forecasting, including quantitative risk assessment and data visualization. She applies this expertise to developing high-quality datasets for consumer products, wearables, and digitally enhanced clinical studies and helping clients use those data to build a safer, more equitable, and more technologically advanced world. Her work leverages multidisciplinary teams with expertise in life sciences, engineering, human factors, regulatory compliance, and litigation support to help clients acquire the highly complex data they need to be market leaders.

Skilled at designing, managing, and executing human participant studies using prototype and commercially available technology, Dr Lively's experience helps clients build high-quality data sets used to develop products that perform for a wide variety of applications. She focuses on using methodologies that prevent data bias, collecting personal data with consideration for privacy, and managing the risks and resources associated with high-value data collection. Additionally, Dr Lively has experience executing studies throughout design and validation cycles.

Dr Lively holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her graduate research focused on infrared lasers and detectors. In addition to her technical work, she has long focused on addressing issues surrounding technology from an interdisciplinary perspective. As a Science Policy Fellow at the National Academy of Engineering, she participated in studies to improve healthcare through the implementation of systems engineering tools. She has also studied the issues and implications related to media framing of emerging nanotechnologies.

Jonathan E. Rosenberg MD is the Chief of the Genitourinary Oncology Service at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), Attending Physician at Memorial Hospital at MSKCC, and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He holds the Enno W. Ercklentz Chair in Genitourinary Oncology.

Dr. Rosenberg received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rosenberg completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at UCSF. He had previously served on the faculty at UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute prior to coming to MSKCC. Dr. Rosenberg’s research focuses on understanding bladder cancer biology with the goal of developing new therapeutic approaches in bladder cancer. He works closely with laboratory investigators to correlate novel genetic biomarkers with clinical outcomes in bladder cancer.

Rob Wilson is Currently VP Commercial Strategy at VivoSense.  He is a Digital Health expert with extensive experience in wearable sensor hardware and software technology, algorithm and digital endpoint development and the clinical and regulatory environment. Mr Wilson is a former Senior VP Business Development and Corporate Strategy for ActiGraph. He led ActiGraph's strategy and business development and created a leading hardware and software wearable ecosystem for the clinical trial market. He has extensive consulting and investment banking expertise. Mr Wilson is the former Head of Healthcare Corporate Finance and director of healthcare venture fund relationships at both First Union and RBC Capital Markets for the Royal Bank of Canada.

John is a Project Lead, specialising in the design and project management of complex drug delivery devices and systems. A designer by training with a strong grounding in medical device design and regulatory focused human factors, he regularly attends user studies in both Europe and the US.

On projects he seeks to balance technical, user and commercial requirements to produce simple elegant solutions. Over the years, John has worked on a range of parenteral device developments with leading pharma companies in both Europe and the US and has a good knowledge and understanding of the market, current devices and trends.

Dr Zozus is a professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio’s Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine. She has dedicated her career to advancing methods for data quality assessment and control in health care and health-related research including collection and management of data for clinical studies, and assessment and use of EHR data in clinical studies. In addition to leading clinical research informatics at UT Health San Antonio her research pursues advancing the design, conduct and reporting of clinical studies through interoperability, automation, decision support and data mining. She is the PI of the AnCilliary Studies to Evaluate Real-World Data Quality (ACE-RWD Program) assessing data from EHR interoperability such as data obtained using the Health Level Seven (HL7) Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) standards for use in clinical studies.

Anne-Marie (Annie) Martin, PhD is a Senior Vice President of Precision Medicine R&D at

GSK. She leads a global team responsible for the precision medicine strategy to

deliver all clinical pharmacology, clinical biomarkers and diagnostic development into

pipeline opportunities. In close collaboration across R&D, Dr Martin plays a vital role in

utilizing a precision medicine approach to expedite the development of innovative

therapeutics for treating numerous diseases.

Dr Martin has more than 20 years of experience in the health care and biopharmaceutical

sectors leading the development, implementation and execution of precision medicine

strategies. This has culminated in the approval of more than 15 precision medicines

across multiple diseases and indications, including inflammatory disease, cancer and

neurology. She currently serves on the Cullinan Therapeutics Board, and the FNIH

PACT initiative. Dr Martin has published more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed

journals. She holds a PhD in immunology and molecular biology.

Brian Smith joined Science 37 in April 2021 and is the Senior Vice President, Metasite Operations, responsible for clinical operations service delivery, including clinical operations, data management, and nursing solutions. Prior to Science 37, Brian served as the Vice President of Data Management at ERT. Previously, Brian served as VP of Project Operations at iCardiac Technologies. He started his career at Wyeth as a Research Scientist doing vaccine research and testing. Brian earned his BS in Biotechnology at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Tracy Killingsworth is a Global Project Manager (GPM) for the BATURA Study with Avillion Life Sciences and has been part of the Avillion Team for 5 years. She was the GPM for the Phase III Denali study investigating PT027 in asthma Patients. She has 25+ years of experience in clinical research and 10+ years of experience as Registered Respiratory Therapist. 

Dr Noah Goodson is a senior leader driving strategy and advisory consulting services at THREAD. He spends his days supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies in the design and execution of clinical trials. A key theme of his work is the integration of Human-Centered Design to galvanize innovative solutions grounded in science and the practical world of user experience. Prior to joining THREAD, Dr Goodson helped early-stage biotech and medical device companies design and execute hybrid and fully decentralized research. He is also well versed in the complex business needs of these organizations and has spent significant time in guiding business development and scientific communication strategies with investors.
