Dr Brent Buchine is the Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Windgap Medical. With over two decades of leadership across the life sciences and semiconductor sectors, he brings deep expertise in innovation, technology development and company building. At Windgap,he has played key roles in shaping the company’s R&D and product strategy, leading cross-functional teams and establishing strategic partnerships across the pharmaceutical and biotech landscape. A materials scientist by training, Dr Buchine is known for translating breakthrough ideas into impactful products and fostering collaborations that shape the next generation of drug delivery innovation.

Dr. Frederic Dargelas is the Chief Commercial Officer of DelSiTech. He is both a business-alliance and scientific veteran with 25 years of experience in the pharma industry, especially in drug delivery technologies. Previously, he held managing positions at diverse international companies such as GSK, UCB and Orion Pharma. Dr. Dargelas holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry of Polymers and an MBA.

Marc Hendriks is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at DSM Biomedical. He is a seasoned, results-focused international executive with more than 30 years of experience in the medical device and biomedical materials industry.  With demonstrated broad-based strengths and accomplishments in Strategy Development, Licensing and Business Development, Innovation, Venture and Alliance Management, and General Management, Dr Hendriks has a proven track-record in effectively mobilizing cross-functional teams for Employee Engagement and Culture Change, Profit and Growth Optimization, and the implementation of diverse Functional Excellence Programs.Reflecting on his more than 30 years in the industry, Dr Hendriks enjoys continuously challenging himself, seeking to grow, broaden and deepen himself in both his work and personal life. He is a (co-)inventor on over thirty patents / patent applications and has co-authored over thirty journal articles and publication features in the field of biomedical materials research. Dr Hendriks joined DSM in 2006 as Director of R&D, after spending nearly 15 years at Medtronic. During his time with Medtronic, he served in various R&D roles taking on roles of increasing responsibility; lastly as Research Director, Biomaterials Technology at the Medtronic Bakken Research Center in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Dr Hendriks received both his PhD and Masters of Science degrees from Eindhoven University of Technology, and holds an MBA from University Maastricht Business School.

Dr Matthew O’Brien Laramy received his BS in Chemistry, History, and African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University. Dr O’Brien currently leads a parenteral formulation and drug delivery group focused on novel modalities within the Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences organization in Genentech's Early Research and Development (gRED) organization. In this role, Dr O’Brien and his team are responsible for developing new technologies and for advancing programs from candidate selection through Phase 2 clinical development. His expertise is recognized by 25+ publications and patents with 1,800+ citations, and his efforts have helped propel multiple drugs into clinical development. Dr O’Brien serves on the IQ Novel Excipients Working Group and the Controlled Release Society’s Nanomedicine and Nanoscale Delivery Focus Group. Prior to Genentech, Dr O’Brien worked at Pfizer in an early stage development group within the Parenteral Center of Excellence, where he was responsible for drug delivery strategy and formulation development for multiple programs. Dr O’Brien has worked on a broad array of long-acting injectable technologies applied to multiple modalities, routes of administration, and filing pathways. Outside of work, he has passionately volunteered in science education and mentorship organizations for over 10 years.

Cindy W Wu, PhD, is a Director in Drug Delivery and Biomaterials at Abbvie Inc. During her 10 plus year tenure with Abbvie (previously Allergan), Dr Wu has specialized in developing biological delivery products for therapeutic areas including eye care, urology, and medical aesthetics. Currently, she is leading the research and development of biologics delivery platforms and driving the translation of technologies to create innovative products. Dr Wu also acts as the CMC team lead to advance research projects to development. Before joining Abbvie, Dr Wu was a Senior Scientist in Drug Delivery at Amgen, where she was responsible for developing pharmaceutical products based on parenteral and local controlled release technology. Dr Wu earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and has authored more than 20 research papers, book chapters, and patents.
