Wayne Rothbaum is president and managing member of Quogue Capital, LLC, a $500MM life sciences investment fund founded in 2002. Mr Rothbaum began his Wall Street career in 1993 joining the strategic consulting firm The Carson Group where he managed the biotechnology practice, advising 70 public and private biotech companies and co-managing Evolution Capital, a boutique life sciences investment bank. In 2001, The Carson Group was sold to Thomson Reuters for $200MM.
In 2012, Mr Rothbaum co-founded and was the executive chairman and largest investor in Acerta Pharma, a European biotech focused on treating cancer and inflammation. With over $500MM raised, 23 clinical trials and 1500 patients treated in less than 4 years, Acerta was sold to AstraZeneca for up to $7BB in February 2016.
Mr Rothbaum graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Binghamton University in 1990 with a dual major in political science and psychology and received his Master’s degree in international economics from The George Washington University.
