The Most Unique Life Science Deals of 2012 hosted by Dennis Purcell, Senior Managing Partner, Aisling Capital. Deals covered the following themes:
- Pharma and big biotech companies’ investments in option-to-buy deals for early-stage assets
- Pharma and big biotech companies’ investments in and alongside VC firms
- Non-traditional/innovative funds funding companies
- Pharma and big biotech companies’ investments as consortiums to fund pre-competitive drug development
Biotech Idol: An Interactive Life Science Showcase
The showcase provided an opportunity for privately held life science companies to build their profile, present to and obtain feedback and guidance from a cross section of investors, network with investors, and develop potential collaborations.
The Investment Panels included leadership from Venture Capital, Corporate Venture, Pharmaceutical Business Development and Angels. Each panel consisted of five to six investors.
